      Many people ask us what does BAM in PETBAM mean??  Well, "BAM" has a very significant meaning; it stands for "Because Animals Matter".  We wanted to come up with a unique and powerful name that would be universally recognized as a pet loving and pet friendly community.  Here at Petbam, we love our pets and animals, and always want everyone to feel welcome to join.

Owners Vision

      Hello and welcome to my website.  My name is Renzi Sandras and I am the founder and CEO of Petbam.  I have been a pet enthusiast my entire life.  I have had all types of pets ranging from cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, and even a crawfish.  Wanting to help animals has always been important to me.  After the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, my vision became clearer than ever.  A few years have passed since then, but I never lost sight of my love and devotion for helping animals.  Around 2 years ago, the idea came to me about bringing people together with their pets via a social networking website.  This would allow anyone that had access to a computer to never have to be away from his or her pet again.  I further realized the need to link veterinarians, shelters, and rescues together for easier access to their services.  By people using Petbam, shelters can reach potential owners quickly and effortlessly.  This open access can inturn, allow homeless animals a better chance to be found.

      I also added many useful features such as a pet memorial page.  This allows users to post their beloved pets here for everyone to see and remember.  I wish this information would have been available to me years ago.  I remember as a young boy having many pets that I never photographed or had videos taken with them.  They are now just fond memories in my mind.  I want Petbam to educate pet owners to take more photos and videos of their pets and have fun in the process.  I have implemented various contest on Petbam to reward and encourage these activities. 

      Petbam is fun for all ages and I intend on keeping it this way.  I wanted to create a safe website where parents could feel well if their children are using it.  If you are fond of pets, then you will enjoy seeing all the photos and videos posted on Petbam.   I hope Petbam provides you with a truly magical experience.  And remember, you do not have to own a pet to become a member of Petbam, you only have to enjoy animals!!!
